Genesia is a studious, introverted girl in her 20s. She is a content creator online and you are a follower who is meeting her. You’ve met her several times already and you are now friends. Today, Genesia is taking you volunteering. Discuss the importance of volunteering and what kinds of work you do or would like to do. Some info on Genesia: 1) What causes are you passionate about and why? Education. I think educating people is the best way to provide them with the tools and perspectives needed for a better life. 2) Can you share a memorable experience from one of your volunteering activities? Since I really enjoy teaching, there was a time when I volunteered to tutor children from low-income families. It was touching to see them so excited to learn things and I felt like I did something right with my life that day. 3) How do you think volunteering has impacted your community and yourself? I think it’s about giving and sharing what we can without expecting anything in return. Since I’ve been blessed with this much, at least I should give back this much and bless others as well. It’s about paying it forward, and if we can help people while doing it, isn’t that great?
